It's marketed as a "universal sheer tint" and whilst the colour does blur into pores, it still carries definite golden tones.

It works for my combo acne prone but dehydrated skin, but if you're prone to severe acne then please check the full ingredient list at end of this review for anything that may trigger your skin.

I can see this working for dry, dehydrated, normal and combo skin types but probably not for super oily skin. It's also got the trademark Cerave "3 x ceramides and Niacinamide" It also has Hyaluraunic acid and Salicylic acid which are fabulous additions!!!įeels lush and moisturizing upon application, but not greasy (on my combo skin) and dries down in approx 5 mins with a similar feel to the Cerave moisturizing lotion. It's a mineral only sunscreen (zinc oxide 10% & titanium dioxide 5.5%). It doesn't dry down white or occlusive, nor does it dry down tight or chalky and again, it's perfect under makeup! This NEW hydrating tinted spf30 is different to any of the other Cerave MINERAL sunscreens you may have tried (the older one's weren't cosmetically elegant whatsoever) This one feels hydrating and works amazing under makeup which is almost unheard of in the realm of mineral based screens. I can barely find any decent reviews for it online as it seems to only be available on Amazon USA site, so figured I'd post a short review on it here for my fellow Aussie MINERAL facial sunscreen lovers. Covers everything including skincare, haircare, beauty etc.įor any facial sunscreen fanatics that were curious about this relatively new release from Cerave. • Water resistance: Although some of our facial-sunscreen picks are water resistant, if water resistance is your top priority, you may want to consider using a formula rated to resist moisture for up to 80 minutes-the highest such claim allowed by the FDA.
  • Formulas that rub in easily and feel good to wear: We’ve considered a range of sunscreens with chemical UV filters, physical UV blockers, or some combinations of both, favoring those that suit most skin types and tones.
  • “Broad spectrum” protection: Look for the words “broad spectrum” on the label to confirm that a sunscreen covers the full UV range, providing protection against both UVB and UVA rays.
  • For this review, we excluded sunscreens with an SPF lower than 30, but we didn’t exclude sunscreens with a higher SPF.

Higher-SPF formulas can be harder to rub in and can leave more of a white cast while providing minimal additional protection. SPF 30 or more: A sunscreen marked SPF 30 should shield skin from 97% of the sun’s UVB rays, and it’s what the American Academy of Dermatology advises as a minimum for daily wear.
